We are thrilled to see that Tommy Jessop (pictured below top left with our Blue Apple Singers) who was Blue Apple’s founding member has been shortlisted in the 2022 Shaw Trust Disability Power 100!
Category winners and top 10 will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on 12 September. Even though a fifth of the UK’s population has a disability or impairment, there is little recognition of the many successful and influential disabled people who are role models for all of us to aspire to.
The Shaw Trust want to change the public perception of disability, recognising strong, successful, influential people who are leaders in their field. The Disability Power 100 recognises and amplifies the successes of the finalists, with the goal of encouraging talented leaders of tomorrow through their example to achieve their full potential, regardless of disability or impairment.
