Panto outing

A group of Blue Apple staff and participants enjoyed a trip to the panto at Theatre Royal Winchester on 18 December. Mother Goose tells the story of a goose keeping woman struggling to pay the rent until she unexpectedly takes in a goose who lays her golden eggs, making her rich! However, Mother Goose is tempted to swap her goose for youth and beauty – a mistake she soon regrets, leaving her fighting to get her goose back to live happily ever after.

This is the first time Mother Goose has been performed at Theatre Royal Winchester and as is their tradition, it is packed with corny jokes, original songs, live music and audience participation.

We all enjoyed ourselves tremendously and then followed it up by attending a special Christmas service at St Lawrence Church with readings and songs from members of Winchester Go LD and Blue Apple performers. Below are some photos of Blue Apple performers at the theatre taken by our Chair Emeritus Georgiana Robertson.
