Blue Apple Singers welcome guests to University of Winchester's special Education Question Time event

At the University of Winchester’s Education Question Time event on 29 April, a core group of Blue Apple Singers played a central role by providing live singing during the drinks reception that opened the evening. As artists in residence at the University, Blue Apple Theatre - founded in 2005 to support learning disabled performers in theatre, dance, singing, and film - was also the nominated charity for the event.

Attendees were encouraged to make voluntary donations to Blue Apple Theatre when registering for tickets via Eventbrite or on the night using a QR code. This support helps Blue Apple continue to create accessible creative opportunities for people with learning disabilities. The event, chaired by BBC journalist Victoria Derbyshire, brought together a panel of education experts and an audience of 300 for a lively debate on current issues in education, with Blue Apple’s involvement highlighting the importance of inclusion and creativity in the sector.
