At Blue Apple, we're looking for passionate and enthusiastic people to support one of our inclusive performing arts groups at the QE2 Activity Centre in Bursledon. Whether you're an experienced arts practitioner or someone who simply loves theatre and wants to give back to your community, we have an opportunity for you.
Freelance performing arts facilitator
We're seeking a creative and experienced facilitator to lead weekly performing arts sessions for adults with learning disabilities and autistic people.
This freelance role is ideal for someone with experience delivering creative workshops and a commitment to making the arts accessible and inclusive. Sessions explore drama, movement, voice, storytelling and devising, helping participants develop confidence, creativity and performance skills in a supportive environment.

The successful facilitator will guide the group towards a range of performance opportunities, including:
For One Night Only 2027, Blue Apple's annual showcase on Saturday 13th February 2027
Smaller performances and sharing events at the QE2 Activity Centre
We're looking for someone who
Has at least two years' professional experience within the arts or performing arts sector
Has experience leading creative workshops or performing arts sessions
Is passionate about inclusive arts
Can confidently plan and deliver engaging sessions for adults with a range of abilities
Works collaboratively and professionally
Has access to a car
Holds Public Liability Insurance
Experience working with learning-disabled and autistic performers is desirable, although training and ongoing support will be provided.
Performing arts volunteer
If you're interested in theatre, creativity and supporting others, our volunteer opportunity could be the perfect fit.
As a volunteer, you'll work alongside the facilitator to help create a welcoming, fun and inclusive environment where participants can thrive. You'll encourage confidence, join in activities and support individuals throughout the session.
No professional performing arts experience is required. We're simply looking for someone who enjoys working with people and believes in the power of creativity.
