This week, Blue Apple performers were invited to take part in an accessible opera workshop with The Grange Festival. This was facilitated by two opera singers; Rob Gildon, baritone and Lynsey Docherty, soprano.

The workshop was held at the University of Winchester performing arts studio theatre and aimed to prepare Blue Apple performers for their trip to attend the dress rehearsal of the The Yeoman of The Guard on Wednesday 22 June.

Blue Apple’s Outreach Coordinator Rebecca Godden said: “This was a fabulous creative and different workshop that explored interesting ways of using opera to nurture creativity in our performers and encourage them to explore and develop their imaginations.”

Participants included some Blue Apple singers and core performers and an additional student of the facilitators.
