Performers represent Blue Apple at Czech exhibition
Two Blue Apple performers, two staff members and a dedicated volunteer have travelled to Brno in the Czech Republic to take part in an expo all about inclusion. This is part of the European "Be IN! (clusive)” project funded by ERASMUS+ Projects and involving Czech Aldente Theatre, Polish Teatr 21 and Blue Apple. The expo was created by a team of students organised by Rytmus, a non-profit organisation that supports people with disabilities in active social inclusion. It aims to break down stereotypes through theatre and related activities, show people new perspectives on world vision, arouse in them the ability to think critically, and lead them to self-knowledge and self-development, which ultimately has an impact on societal change. The expo comprises three parts: an interactive section of “Socratic questions“ to promote critical thinking by visitors; a participative section of “live meetings“, where visitors may meet actors in person; and an exhibition section “My way: theatre and diversity as a way to enhance personal development towards self-awareness and societal reform“. The exhibition will present the stories of young researchers with a reflection on the “journey“ they took during the project, incorporating recordings of the attitudes and opinions from the position of different nationalities.
